my thoughts

From this project, I'd learnt alot of things about photography.
First, I searched the net. With the aid of the useful links I found, I pick up the techniques and apply them. Like the angles I took , and had myself to try out. It really did work!
The digital zoom I had hard times with, and finally overcome it.
Not only that, I also learnt about the skill when taking pictures with family. How the members should stand together, and from which angle I'm taking is the best.
I really enjoy the process , I hope I can learn more indept in the future!

My friends wanted me to be in the picture because I didn't take much pictures with them. I would have to say, with me in the picture, the picture look EVEN BETTER!!! (hehhehhehhehheh...) So I edited it, add the blur edges and my name.

Then, I had found a video from Youtube. It's title is "Digital Photography tips for Capturing Perfect Family Photos".

Herer some tips I found from the video.

First: Position people artistically. Second: Choose the right clothes. Third: Show relationship. Fourth: Catch candid moments. Fifth: Fill the frame. Sixth: Shoot subject at eye level. Seventh: Try unusual angles. Eighth: Lose the red eyes.

It has been years since I last went to a basketball court.
It reminded me when I was still a primary school kid,
probably playing catching, get caught by the descipline master running around in the school tuckshop. Alright, enough with the childhood stories.

Imagine,on such good weather, a groups of guys playing at the court had their shoes rubbing against the floor, perspire so much just to score as many points as possible. Every score, someone cheers for you. That's what I feel when I see this picture.

http://photography.about.com/od/camerabasics/ss/ShutterSpeed.htm
Found the link above. It gave me a lot of information on photographing.
For example, shutter speed can also affect the outcome of my photograhps.
Next was the digital zoom vs optical zoom.
Digital zoom is basically a digital crop within the camera. It is not a true magnification. When you use digital zoom you are effectively only capturing part of an image, with lower resolution than the full frame image would have.
Optical zoom is magnification created by a lens. This type of magnification is a "true zoom" and should not adversely affect image quality. Optical zoom should be your first choice for magnification whenever possible.

Though these two functions seem easy but you really need to control them well to capture a beautiful picture. And now I know why my images tend to blur.

The photo below was taken at Orchard Road.
My classmate told me about the lightings there.
And yea, it was GREAT!
BUT!~ the photo was blur as I did not zoom until it is clear and sharp.
So the effect was not very good.

This Christmas tree was taken at Ngee An City. It was so huge , I can't capture the WHOLE tree!

From afar, I thought it was ferry wheel...

Different angles

Let's look at the first picture in the top left. Wouldn't it be fun if many children are running around in front the shelter while their parents can sit and chat. At the same time, they can keep an eye over their children.

When I took the picture shown in the top right, I wanted to go there so quickly before I missed out even more beautiful sceneries!

For the last picture, I proabably just walk pass and peep because it doesnt catch my attention at all!

At a certain angle, these trees look as though there's snow.

I took this picture at about 715pm when the sun was setting. I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH! it was one of the best photos i took for the past few days!
